Mother-daughter yoga class

My wife bought us an introductory course as a Christmas present. I was a little apprehensive to start with, but our girl took to the lessons with her usual no-prisoners-taken enthusiasm 😊 She is particularly fond of the warm-down session at the end when we sit in a big circle and she has a captive audience for her observations on how much more efficiently a 14 year old body operates than a 39 year old equivalent 🤦‍♀ It took a few weeks for her to get the hang of "mindfulness" and realise that you don't need to immediately shout out whatever pops up in your head. We've even mastered "virtual guinea pig grooming" as a way of encouraging my little buddha to find her inner calm 🧘🏽‍♀

Back in January I found myself mildly jealous of other mums at the class and their quiet daughters with tidy hair. Now as we sit back-to-back on the yoga mat I feel nothing but happy reassurance 😌

My mum did yoga for years and loved it.
That's sweet that you both go.

@Cinderellagirl Why not try doing some yoga with your mum? It's great fun! 😊
@SunshineGirl She stopped going as the teacher moved away🥴, but that's a thought to do something together like that.
@SunshineGirl she can be my pe teacher and do yoga lol

@Cinderellagirl Good idea, but do you really want to be living with your PE teacher full time?! 😅
@SunshineGirl That's a thought and she might be harder on me than my present one.
