Got an email from tiny tornado's teacher

I always get nervous when I get an email from the school but this one was nothing bad.

Basically saying that he still doesn't seem to have a dominant hand for writing or eating yet At times he'll use his right and then use his left later that day. She was basically asking if I noticed this at home as well.

She said she asked him and he said sometimes I get bored using one hand so I use the other one, some days one hand gets tired and sometimes I just take turns so they don't get mad at each other. One day I want to try writing with my feet..... This child of mine

And I guess I've never paid much attention to what hand he uses to eat or do his homework.

I'm left handed but no one else in the family is.

This silly tornado of mine

This is quite normal. I write with my right hand and eat with my left. The kids at school always asked why I always eat with my left hand and I never paid much attention to them. There are times I do pick up certain items on the floor with my right foot.

@Barefooter25 I'm ok with him using whatever hand he wants but his feet not so much LOL

My brother who was probably L handed became ambidextrous cos all the sports equipment etc was for right handers

@bookerdana Yes I run into this issue a lot myself.

He may well be ambidextrous. able to use both hands equally well.
Is his writing the same with both hands? Do not allow the teacher to attempt to get him to use only one hand for writing. It might be natural for him.

@Gusman no I won't. I think she was just curious if he did the same. I'll have to have him write something with both hands and see what one is better but no one is trying to encourage him to use one hand or the other. And it might be fun to let him try writing with his feet lol

Ambidextrous skills in the making here.
