Have you ever contemplated if we are meant to spend extensive time indoors, or if a house is merely crafted to provide shelter from the elements and a

safe-secure place to rest at night?

Home is the safe place where you go to disconnect from the rest of the world. As a person with social anxiety and phobia and who often has anxiety attacks, I sometimes do not go outside the house for a whole day as I stay inside where I feel safe and secure. I'm a shiftworker in the rail industry (perhaps the most anti-social job there is) for a reason! Socialising in general society is something I find very difficult.

That was my philosophy as a kid. I was indoors to eat and sleep. Otherwise, I was out in the woods and fields somewhere. As a retiree, I enjoy my afternoon naps inside.

Not really, but I've considered what I'd do without access to a roof and walls.

As man has evolved, so have the shelters we use. Neaderthal and IKEA dont mix..😷
humans have become nothing but cattle.
herded from paddock to paddock.. with routine

you earn the money in the first paddock.
spend the money in the next paddock. then rest.
wash, rince, repeat

We're not 'meant' to do anything. But there are consequences to how we've structured our society.
When I was younger I considered such things. Eventually I determined that one decides for oneself what they’re "meant" to do, how they’re to live, based upon their own desires. As long as they’re willing to accept the consequences of their choices and it harms no one else, who can really criticize ?

I'm meant to do whatever tf I want.

@basilfawlty89 Until she comes at you with the bottle because you told her she might have a drinking problem...😷

@whowasthatmaskedman nah, jokes side I actually usually sympathise with women in domestic arguments. Some dudes refuse to cook, do the laundry, etc. I understand having to do laundry for a household with no help and they'd be too lazy to actually just put dirty clothes in the laundry bin.

@basilfawlty89 I agree. And its the men who are fools and suffer. Not just in the stereotypical manner. Two heads are better than one and wasting 50% of a couples brainpower throughout life is just stupid..It isnt necessary for both to know everything. But is is a huge advantage to be able to tag your partner at a moment where you know they got this better than you do, and be bloody grateful for the help.😷

@AlchemyFox Being secluded only worsens it. We really should be more of a community that gets outside and do things together.

@Justice4All I completely agree. I sought it, but I'm still an outsider. So I think it's time to create it.
