I will just give a view of my own reasoning from what you said
Think this is a bit complicated
First I will say you should try to look through the relationship between dad and this guy's dad
Parents we always tend to want what's the best for our kids
One thing I know for sure is the guy trying to meet up with helping you with doing stuffs
Shows how much he's interested in you
Guess what you don't know guys we can go any length to do anything to get a woman's heart
And for his dad to speak to your dad about this too
I think it's nice
Sometimes it's always tough to give advices because you are not in the position and you don't see things the way the person sees it
So you are just gonna advice base on what you are told
Does he have a good job or do you see potentials in him
Can you two be able to work together
Build a good financial life together trust me I always overemphasized how important that is
Finances are very important
Americans are paying to live on earth which was suppose to be free but If you wanna be happy
Take your finances seriously in your relationship
If you can gain your dad's trust and get him to tell you about what he thinks he's the best for you

@bijouxbroussard When the divorce rate is mentioned I find it a bit disingenuous as in those cultures divorce is almost impossible and always falls to the advantage of the man when it does. There is such social condemnation of divorce that a bad arranged marriage dooms two incompatible people to a life of misery.

@FreddieUK Yes, I’m aware (just for the record, I’m not pro-arranged marriages). Men (Western men, btw) have often bemoaned feminism as the culprit for the divorce rate because statistically women are more often the ones who leave. When they’ve said this to me I remind them that women leave when they’re unhappy, because now they can—happy women stay.
