Divorce: do I need a lawyer if we have no assets or kids?

So far I know I'll have to wait out the year separated before I can have it done. I rent. He rents. No kids. We have our own vehicles and split the household stuff when he moved out. I just want this done as cheaply and quickly as possible.

Find the forms ( original petition & final decree) on your state e-file portal print it sign it have him served or hand deliver it, both sign it, return it to the courts and when your court date comes up the judge will ask you both about assets, children, etc, just tell him or her you have none. And if your paperwork is all in order they will grant the divorce right then and there.
