Homeschooling as an institution is abusive. That doesn't mean every single kid is being abused, that doesn't mean all parents are abusive. But generally speaking, it's bad and should be banned.

@thechik96 It's not just a few bad apples. Public schools provide some of the very scant protections children have from abuse, such as having trusted adults outside of the home, chances to form a support system, and access to information. Of course the parents who want to do that will disproportionately be people who want to control and abuse their kids.

Yep I homeschool my kids and always get told how sad it is that they miss out on the socialization… as if they aren’t all in multiple sports and activities 🙄
