That would depend on the game you were playing, and with who. It's always best if both players are aware that it's only a game, so that ones exit would not be too upsetting.

I wouldn't BE there if I hadn't agreed to play the game. If I hit the road in the middle of the game, with the ball in MY court, there is a very, VERY good reason. We can abandon the game, for example, if our opponent is not playing by the rules.

It all depends upon the situation or people involved to tell whether I shoot for three, do a layup, or run like a track star toting a basketball under one arm.
