Before relocating to a bungalow, I was 33 years in a Century home.

Its basement had exposed beams with remnants of ancient wiring. Concrete, utilitarian, with decent clearance and good lighting.

Largely dry, except in heavy rains.

Expect the occasional ambush from a resident thousand legger racing down a wall.

It's a game room. We have a tv , fireplace, Lego table, a basket ball goal comfy chairs and a fold out sleeper couch down there

Which one of those three out of which none is actually my home? 😆
Okay, so one is damp and dark and there are spiders coated in mold hanging from the ceiling.
Another one is dry, not that dark, has a bit musty smell, has some live spiders but overall is clean
And the last is dry, dark and full of cells where only a small one belongs to us and who knows what all is there. That space is fully cluttered with all kinds of junk gathered over the years.

My basement is a walkout. Includes fireplace, gym, bath with shower and more.

Light! I have my window open 24/7 even at night

it's a finished basement with a bar, game area, theater and bathroom

Dont have one.

Toolbox, shelves, washer, dryer, furnace, oil tanks. Can foods and drinks. Not extremely well lighted. Concrete floor and walls.

I don’t think we have a basement

My basement has about 200 cars parked in it, but the ceilings are low and I always think I'm part of a Frankenstein movie when I walk around down there with a short hatchet in my hand in search of my car.
