Honest opinions please...

.....but don't be too mean....it took me hours!!! Lol
As some of you know, I recently lost my Mum in Law. Its been a very stressful, harrowing fews weeks since as hubs big sister arrived from the USA and with the middle sister, cleared the house in 5 days without running passed hubs. To say we and our kids were upset was an understatement. They got rid if so much stuff they was very sentimental to our kids and they would have likes as mementoes of their grandparents.....
Still...i'm not gonna dwell on that anymore, its done and we've got to get on with it.
Hubs was asked to take lots of 'junk' to the tip, and do you know, God bless him, he went through every bag before he threw it to see if he could salvage a few bits for the kids. Sadly, he didnt recover much, but he did bring a few bits back like a few of grandads cufflinks, ties pins, watches that the kids can keep. He also got a few jewellery boxes of mums. There was nothing of any value in there, except one mounted gold sovereign....which i'm keeping for a rainy day.....thanks mum! The rest is costume jewellery...and not particularly nice stuff either. She did have a lot more. I do hope middle sis (mums natural daughter) did keep some good stuff for her and her own girls.
Anyway...i'm rambling. Back to the point of this post. I decided i was gonna make something for the grandkids with all this junk jewellery and craft stuffs I gathered. (They gave me mums craft stuff.... ?????) So, i'm decorating photo frames which of course I'll put a photo of Grandma in.
This is the first one. It took ages...much longer than I though it would. Its not the prettiest thing granted, but I didnt have a lot to work with.
Its the sentiment that counts, right??
I hope my nieces and daughter will like them.

What do ta think??

Ruby, that is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! It shows the same sort of consummate artistry that you've shown us in your garden...the arrangement of disparate elements to create a beautiful and VERY pleasing whole!

You have a great deal of talent! I hope there is enough of her tiny things to make a photo frame for EACH grandchild.

It's beautiful and precious. I did something similar when my mom passed. It will be a treasure to them. I'm sorry for your loss

@ScreamingFox thank you. X
I think it’s wonderful and will be much appreciated, both because it represents the grandparents and because you put it together for them. Very well done. 🥹

i think its lovely and was a lovely idea to use her assorted stuff to make it, does it have a hanger on back to hang on a wall? id think itd look best hung vertically though.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@Penny i've designed this one to be hung horizontaly as the pic for this one is landscape.

It's a beautiful sentiment, and it's one of the nicest frame art I've seen of this kind. Well done 💜

I put some of my mom’s earnings in an epoxy resin mold. I also used some of my parents and my wife’s ashes for sand in beach scene with resin but that o e didn’t turn out right so I had to scrap it

the police and court judge should follow up on this.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@1490wayb what....my photoframe??
1490wayb · 56-60, M
@RubySoo everything that has been taken should be documented...it might be specified as gifts to someone.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@1490wayb everything is to be left 3 way split between hubs and his sisters.
What big sis forgets is it was never her home. She was married before the family moved there, but for hubs and middle sis it was home. Also its only us that stayed local so we always visited many times a week.....and our kuds spent a lot more time there than any if the other grandkids....but she never took any of that into consideration. Is not about anything of value. There were things that were very meaningful to our kids and thats why im so sad, coz my kids are upset. Especially my daughter.
