Don’t recall hearing it. Probably a generation thing
@HiYou12 That’s another good point. It was important that children not be too "full of themselves" back in the day. 😊

Honestly, I can’t remember them saying that just because. If I was dressed up for an event, they might say "you look really nice", but not beyond that. I don’t know that my mother thought I was pretty—ironically because I look like her. And she saw herself as "plain". 🥺
They hardly ever did, but I am glad they didn't put value on my looks. They were great parents with the tools they had.
@PromiseProtectionProvision That is a very good point.
@bijouxbroussard They encouraged me to do the things I excelled at and enjoyed. They were lovely parents with their own struggles. I was encouraged to be kind, polite, creative and grateful 🌸

Never. My parents were always looking for a reason to punish but I don't recall ever a kind word or a pat on the back. The only time they ever touched me was to hit me. I still have a big problem with people touching me.

Every now and then. My mom mostly. She often says I’m cute 😅 My dad it’s more like “nice haircut”, but I’ll take that too.

They might have, but I don`t remember.
Not once, they always told me that it should of been me that got killed instead of my sister

They talked more about intelligence. To them, it was important to be intelligent.

My mom sometimes would tell me that
