when you are asked to provide an 'emergency contact' and you don't really have one...

I have no significant other, and no family nearby except my 7 y/o daughter who lives mostly with my ex.

My closest family is my adult kids 150 km away. Not providing an emergency contact is usually not allowed.

So I usually put my eldest daughter down but if I got in trouble she's not nearby.

I never give out an emergency contact.

@Hinckley I'm going to an indoor climbling place and you have to fill out a waiver which requires an emergency contact or you are not allowed to take part.

@zonavar68 I doubt they would verify the emergency contact number so put down any name and number (keep a copy).
