when you are asked to provide an 'emergency contact' and you don't really have one...

I have no significant other, and no family nearby except my 7 y/o daughter who lives mostly with my ex.

My closest family is my adult kids 150 km away. Not providing an emergency contact is usually not allowed.

So I usually put my eldest daughter down but if I got in trouble she's not nearby.

They don't actually have to be nearby they can still act on your behalf and make decisions in case of an emergency.
