Why do I feel that my mom isnt happy seeing me happy with my husband?

Everytime he is away in another room, always some question if he stands up for me, or some remark about how we run the house, or how he isnt doing much professionally?
Why cant she just stop with her comments? She says its out of her concern but it irritates me and leaves me upset for the rest of the day.
Husband doesnt like my mom too much either. Finding fault with anything he picks up from the conversation that he doesnt like.
I get so upset because they are both important to me and I dont think they like each other too much.

That's hard.
She may believe it's concern, but it seems like it's stress you out.
Hard as it is you can't make them like each other.
Have you directly asked your mom to please stop concerning herself with you and your husband's relationship as it is stressful for you?

Asking questions can be the ultra passive aggression. I've had a few people in my life like that

Some mothers are so petty that they feel they are competing. Especially when they get older. So they knit pick and try and find ways to push your spouse away. They often still see you as a possession, their little kid and now that you belong to your spouse and is no longer under their thumb, they can't handle it.

she is your mother you shouldnt be posting about her. Just love her no matter what. you should be happy that you have her in your life.
You need to stand with your husband and stop her in her tracks when she starts her whispering campaign.

She likely wants to control you and doesn't like his independence.

Sadly, this is very common. If it wasn't we wouldn't hear that many "in law jokes".

Parents are often like that.

My mum was never at ease with my girlfriends,

@Heretodaygonetomorrowit is a well know fact in some reationships between a mother in law and her son in law there is no love lost and this sadly seems a perfect casse of this 😞

Ultra passive aggressive. I confront it with something like "what do you really want to ask?"
Sounds like my Mom
I just tell her to mind her businesses and get a life
