My Uncle died

Tuesday morning mum woke me up telling me my Uncle Tom was in hospital his cancer had gotten worse. We went over to go see him it was horrible seeing him so weak and frail he had been ill for years but he always kept laughing and refused to let it drag him down, but there he was like a ghost of his past self. Throughout this week we visited him daily trying to keep him company and as comfortable as we could. He lost his wife and son before I was born, in a car accident so my dad his little brother, my mum, me and my siblings were his only family left. All my life he was there every Christmas birthday then as I got into playing football he was my biggest supporter yelling encouragement to me and abuse at the refs. Took me to Wolves matches when dad was unable to and was always a source of wisdom and advice.
"Be brave be fierce be you" was something he said to me when I was doubting myself.
Wednesday it was just me and him my dad had gone to the toilet he held my hand as I was sat there crying he said he was proud of the young woman I had grown into and it was ok to cry that people say to be strong but you don't have to all the time. Throughout Wednesday he grew weaker and weaker.
He passed away yesterday not before making us laugh one last time when he woke up seeing my family round his bed looking sad "what's with those looks? You'd think someones dying" then he started to go it was slow like his life was being drained from him slowly. My dad lost it he was sat next to the bed holding my uncles hand crying in a way I had never seen before. My uncle was just saying "it's ok bruv it's ok" then he was gone.
It hurts so bad losing him he meant so much to us and we will miss him.
