Do you spend time with your parents

Unfortunately they are both gone.

Before my Dad died .. yes I did

2 years after his death my Mum and I drifted apart since June this year over something so silly ( gossip ) from my older sister who loves rocking the boat and my Mum not correcting her … pretty sad really but things happen for a reason and I trust the process

Then yesterday I get a call from my Mother

She wants me to see her tomorrow to pick up a ring my Aunty wants me to have ( my Dads sister )

So after talking briefly on the phone we reached a healthy compromise and I’ll see her on Friday

After the phone call I wondered to myself that unbeknownst my Aunty … that she wasn’t just giving her ring to me … she was actually creating a connection with my mother and I again

I got real emotional over this very thought

Yeah… it’s hard to explain further but it just goes to show that everything falls into its rightful place eventually… I had and still have personal faith that it would … will

Bout twice a month

I do. I used to go out to breakfast with them every weekend, but I still see them fairly regularly.

They are both in my curio cabinet so I guess you could say we still live together

A few weekends in the summer and for dinner at Christmas. My dad and I aren't super close and he's a narcissist so it's healthier to keep him at arms length.

Yes, almost every day. They live nearby. They left our house about ten years ago and moved into town, about 2 miles away.

Yes my dad moved in with me he don’t drive anymore and they think he has early signs of dementia

my mother & father visit me every couple of months, you sound like a nice considerate daughter.

I try to visit for a week or two every year if finances allow. They live literally over a thousand miles away (a little more than 1100)
