I would love to see a election when both parties talk about policies and NOT put rubbish on the other candidate

It is so boring and unprofessional
AbbeyRhode · F
Me, too, and one candidate here does just that. He not only tells us, but he has proven what he stands for, and what he will do.
The other party prefers to lie, because they know that telling people they want to destroy the country won't get them votes.
Nimbus · M
I would love to see them in a boxing match where the winner becomes President.
I'm guessing Donald has a mean right hook ;)
Fight! Fight! Fight!

@Nimbus Or a golf match.
Nimbus · M
@JustDJ76 That too ;)
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
@Nimbus Trump did suggest that. And if Biden win then he’d donate a million dollars to charity.
4meAndyou · F
I saw snippets of Trump's latest rally in an indoor sports arena last night, and he has decided to return to attack mode. It's regrettable, but I don't think he has a choice.

Unity be damned if what he is up against is a far left radical who wants to provide amnesty to every single one of the illegal immigrants, socialize our health care systems, and destroy social security and Medicare by bankrupting them with 10 million undocumented illegals....and crashing our school systems with overcrowding, eliminating oil and coal production, and putting thousands of oil and coal workers out of work.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!!!
JustDJ76 · 46-50, M
Me too. I’m afraid it’s only going to get worse though.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
Woodnt that be quite refreshing ?? !!
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
They put rubbish on the other candidate because, unfortunately, that's what much of the poorly-educated public responds to.
Adrift · 61-69, F
@Thinkerbell They do it because they don't have a leg to stand on as far as the real issues or a solid plan to address them.
The peoples responses to this are simply an example of poor leadership.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@nedkelly i agree ned when a debate between too parties start it seems fasst goes off into a tangent and becomes more of a slanging match
Adrift · 61-69, F
The mud slinging keeps us from focusing on the real issues.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
Please name issues you are concerned about
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
Unfortunately we have become a digitalized society with a 144-character attention span. How about a true debate under regular debate rules -- like Lincoln-Douglas -- rather than sound bite quizzes and zingers? Heck, I would settle for JFK-Nixon and, yes, I am old enough to have watched it.

American politics have always been like this

@bookerdana Not always.
I remember they used to address the issues and what their plans were to deal with these issues.
The opposing candidate would then bring up what was the down side of that plan and why their plan would be better.
The problem is that we have lowered our societal standards down to a walmart level.
