@beermeplease I also keep my blades super mega scary sharp too, I have a $400 guided rod and clamp system with diamond plate steels.
I once sharpened a supervisor's cheapo $15 hunting knife before deer season, he told me he almost chucked it into the trash the year before because it barely cut, when he got back from hunting he said him and his brothers rib cut and field dressed five deer before it dulled. I then sharpened my plant manager's dull KaBar his father had in Vietnam, after I got it back to him he let his kid whittle a stick, and nearly cut it in half without trying, it scared my manager so much he put it away in a locked box in the closet.
