OMG, the lectures are the worst!

Like, if I do something wrong, my aunt goes into full lecture mode and it feels like it lasts FOREVER. She'll start with, "You know, you really need to be more responsible," and then go on and on and on. And I'm just standing there thinking, "Can this be over already?" And then, of course, there’s the punishment. It’s always something super annoying like, "No phone for the rest of the day," or "Your getting the paddle young lady ." I mean, I get that I messed up, but seriously? It’s like she thinks the more she punishes me, the less likely I am to mess up again. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t work that way! Ugh! #overit 😒😒😒

Do you fap to these stories ?
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@deadteddy whaaaaaa XD
Louis54 · 61-69, M
Getting the paddle should be enough in itself. If a sore bottom doesn't make you think, nothing will.
pride49 · 31-35, M
@Louis54 that only makes me resent and hate the attacker. And contemplate homicide
DaddyThomas · 46-50, M
Nothing better then a good strong lecture , you’ve to know why you are being disciplined

I remember those days. It sure is annoying. I hate to tell you though, It goes on the rest of your parent or guardian's life. You're always a kid in their eyes! They won't be able to punish you eventually, but they'll still be lecturing and telling you what to do.

Making mistakes at your age is part of learning. In my opinion a parent or other authority figure should be a guide to point things out and help you fix a problem because that's how we learn. Save the punishment, whatever it is, for repetitive mistakes or bad choices, really unsafe choices/actions, or major disrespect. I do think over-scolding and punishing for every little thing is counter productive. You'll be out on your own soon. Hang in there.

Best just to do the paddling and get it over with.
Stubborn17 · 18-21, F
@MartinII she can focus on herself and leave me alone 😤😤😤
1olderguy20 · 61-69, M
Usually the paddle makes someone not want to mess up that way again

@Stubborn17 I just tried to send you a message (about the picture) but your security settings won't allow it until you reply to me.
"Like I only crashed the car drunk and injured someone, it's no big deal" 😂
Stubborn17 · 18-21, F
@BritishFailedAesthetic ? It's quite a difference 😕
@Stubborn17 It's a joke! Are you from one of those cultures where you are an adult but your family treat you like a child for the rest of your life?

Don't forget the regular, unexpected family pop ins 😂
dimmerdork · 61-69, M
I gather, at times, the paddle can be the least of your worries…
dayalllost · 36-40, M
May we know what she was giving you a lecture for? And what the punishment was?
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
Cute photo! I can hear auntie saying "Don't roll your eyes at me young lady!"
PinkRose23 · 22-25, F
I guess as long as you dont fall asleep youre good lol
1olderguy20 · 61-69, M
What is worse for you the paddle or loss of the phone
Stubborn17 · 18-21, F
@1olderguy20 paddle. But it depends on how long I would have to survive without my phone
Not quoting a lecture number is also beneficial
No, it really doesn’t work that way!

This post has both sus written all over it, as well as yep, definitely an 18-21 year old written all over it 🙄

This is why SW should allow us to mass block enitre age ranges
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
I remember when I was that age, kinda miss those times tbh

@HeadGirl That is a potent looking cane. Is yours just as long and large in diameter?

@LordShadowfire How would you characterize "working"? Perhaps in your case, it means that you never repeated the pattern of behavior?
