Is this a thing 😭 as someone who's had many different long term step parents in my life, this is my biggest fear.

I never felt that way until my current step dad, he's closed off as a person and always has been but i do fear he doesn't like me

Albeit... I'm... I'm my 20s... this issue is usually for bratty little kids lol.

Yessssssss! They was bad asf and when you see her with them you know why. I didn't deal with it she wouldn't let you say anything to them or about them so I dumped her

Generally speaking, it's a bad idea for a guy to marry a woman who has kids. It's a problem that the guy can do without.

No mama but my step mother is, and I won’t sit here and paint her as a villain cause lord knows I haven’t been a saint myself.

I’m atleast trying to have a relationship with her but she’s not a very easy person to get along with.

My whole life I’ve tried for the approval of father figures but they didn’t care for me. So my mama left them that moment.

My dad however has never had luck finding him a good lady (except for mama).

I know dads not gonna leave her so I still try to be supportive and get along with her for his sake.

Thankfully I have loved the children of my partners. But I have had a few friends whose kids I couldn't stand.
JohnnySpot · 56-60, M
The kids were always grown so it's not like I had to spend a lot of time with them if I didn't want to.

Yup!

Velcro walls (and accessories) .. LOL 🤣😄

I don't dislike my step kids. They just have strong personalities. I have said on several occasions though, seeing how her kids turned out, I'm glad I didn't get any.

@Jacko1971 You know what the Bible says about kids, don't you?

@Diotrephes it says that they are all bastards.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
No. Thank goodness. Lol
Yeah. Mom was 40 something and he was early 20 something and thought he was a badass.
He learned. lol
No I did not hurt or harm him. Just physically taught him a valuable life lesson. 🤭
Livingwell · 61-69, M
Yes. She was a complete brat. And mom would not make he be polite. Spit food on my floor just because. I finally gave up.

I've never dated anyone who owned goats.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F

@Jacko1971 As it says =

Hebrews 12:8 (GNT) = "If you are not punished, as all his children are, it means you are not real children, but bastards."

The Bible is a big advocate for child abuse.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
No but I can’t imagine that. Sorry you are in that situation.
empanadas · 31-35, M
I don't single mothers. I'm not at that stage in life yet. Hopefully I don't have to experience a bratty kid
