Is it weird that my sister seems okay with me seeing her in her underwear?

I was helping her when she was trying on dresses and she just causally slipped one of them off without even thinking about it, I saw her in her underwear and she wasn't embarrassed or anything.

Of course that's not weird. My sisters see each other undressed all the time. Even if I see my sister in her underwear, it's not like it's a big deal. Boys walk around with pants on and no shirt all the time. It's the same concept. You didn't see anything more than you would have if she was in a bikini or a normal swimsuit. And you saw less than complete strangers see in locker rooms.

Eh, modesty conventions are made up, which doesn't mean that different people's ideas aren't valid, simply that they'll be different. Some people won't want to be seen in a state of undress besides anyone that isn't their spouse. Others won't care. People in swimwear for instance seldom care who sees them, even though it's basically the same as underwear. Human mind is an odd place.

No, it seems fine, there’s girls on my college course that have answered the door to me in their underwear and then just hung out like that when they invited me in. I was kinda embarrassed at first but they seemed fine so I just hung out. Just the same as a bikini I suppose.

I don't think so, different people have different boundaries. I'm generally very comfortable being seen nude. I know everyone is not though. I think for two sisters that boundary is often lower than strangers. However, it's totally ok to not want to be seen sans any clothes by family as well.

@walabby That may be the most male answer I've ever heard in an attempt to rationalize what a woman was doing in a completely normal situation. Girls see each other undressed all the time. Even at sleepovers, it's totally normal for girls to get dressed and undressed in the exact same room, even if they don't even know each other very well. Girls cant exist in the most basic situations without it being sexualized as their only characteristics being "oooooh I'm hoooot let me show my siiister" smh
