If someone did something which hurt me, should I tell them?

I always say nothing or "no problem", but I think I'm a pushover because of that.

Is it all that important? Serious question not trying to be a jerk. Sometimes our sensitivity is set so high we do more damage trying to fix the problem than the actual problem ever could do.
