Do you think one of the ladies was being rude about my size?

So I’m a tall girl….well young woman at 5’11”3/4. NO I AM NOT 6ft TALL! I am approximately 257lbs (not telling you my real weight).
Anyways when we were doing something called CPI training, when we were discussing how to handle students when they get aggressive of violence, one of the ladies said, “Well since you work with the littles and you’re so tall, it’s going to be very difficult for you to sit on those small chairs and it can easy break when you sit on it and holding on to the child when he/she gets aggressive. You should request bigger chair for you.” I did agree with her but it did hurt my feelings a bit. Another girl said, “Yeah she has a point. Someone your size can easily hurt someone smaller and you can easily break the tiny chairs. Plus you’re very tall. For the teacher Mrs. (Let’s call her N) is a little lady so it will be different since she’s petite and little. No offense.”
That really hurt my feelings. But I didn’t show it. Mrs. N (who I met and is very kind) is a little lady at about I am guessing 4’9”. The other assistant is about 5’6”.

It won't be the last time, and you did well not to let on that it hurt your feelings.
And there is no point in harping on the fact that you are a little less than 6 feet. People like to round to extremes. If they can make something sound impressive, they will. When my daughter was trying to make a point about something, she rounded her father's age to 80, even though he is less.
People are going to remark that you're tall and it will never stop, so you might as well accept it and think about more important things.

@Poppies I wish it would stop! My sister said something similar to what you said and I don’t like it. She said, “Look people will always something to say and people will always comment how tall you are and about my size. That’s just the truth and you might as well accept that you’re always going to be a big woman no matter what.” I am so sick and tired of people mentioning how tall I am and these ladies were so brutally blunt about my size but they didn’t do that with the smaller teachers. Why do people always have to say harsh things about big and tall women.

@LaylaTheTallGirl Smaller women are a dime a dozen.

@Poppies What’s that supposed to mean?! That they’re better?
Plus my older sister is like 5’2” in a half, smaller, petite and I am 5’11” 3/4 and large

@LaylaTheTallGirl Good things come out of small packages. Smaller women are just less intimidating. No offense. Shut up and move on!
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
@Poppies We sure are. I’m 5’1” I’m so glad I don’t have that problem like this tall Amazon. Tall, big women are intimidating.

@LaylaTheTallGirl it simply means that there are a lot of them.

@LaylaTheTallGirl I'm not denying any of that--that you've always been tall and that your mother was tall.

@Poppies I didn’t like when you say people will always remark on how tall I am. People don’t do it to smaller women 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
My sister is 5’2” and her mom is a little woman. We’re half siblings. Her mom is 4’10” and our dad was 5’7” my brother is 5’7” in a half.
