You ever see something in your dreams and you just know it's bad?
Sometimes I see... I don't know what you'd call it. I wanna say cistern? Like some equiptment to do with water. It's big though. When I dream of that I know I'm gonna have a bad day.

I have a vague memory of some dreams I had when I was a kid that involved some kind of open water reservoir in woods surrounded by rusty metal stairs and platforms. I want to visualize it but I can't grasp the shape. It doesn't make me feel bad, in fact, I wish I could revisit the place in a dream again.

The thought of cisterns makes me shudder for some reason unknown. Maybe it has something to do with cisterns being a standard part of certain horror films... there are bodies down there or demonic entities. Then again, maybe I have some bad association with it from the past. In my grandparents time, it wasn't uncommon to have a cistern in the cellar.

Well, if I dream about my traumas or things that reminded me of them I know I might be in a flashback or will be later on. It will be a high alert triggered kind of day and either I manage it well and ground myself well or I fail and enter a flashback episode in who knows how long , sometimes it lasts several days.
It happens to most of us, humans.
