Have you ever experienced

Vivid dreams. Where you dream something that is so real that when you wake up your emotions come with you. I have experienced this countless times. I even got to the point I could make myself dream that way.. Usually I'd take a nap in the afternoon and continually think about what I'd like to see. You lay very still while thinking. You get to the point where you are in that state where you aren't awake but not quite asleep either. It's a wonderful thing. I get to see my sister usually, but also my mom and dad and my animals. Unfortunately I wake up crying because I miss them. But I feel like I was there with them.

I frequently have those same lucid dreams about being with my folks and sister who have all passed.

@melissa001 I have a similar one about a good friend who died too. Hr shows up after having been away for several years. No details and no idea where he's staying now. He's just here and I'm happy to see him again

@JohnnyNoir @JohnnyNoir they're just the remnants of what remains of them in the depths of your mind. Dreams are other wise a mystery

@melissa001 and of course my dad showed up in one of my dreams last night. A night of recurring theme dreams

Yeah, I have to run through scenarios of what I want to see before bed. Its better then over thinking the days troubles. And there is that point between sleep and awake were I am able to stay in the dream and control it to some extent.

I have definitely had a few very vivid dreams. I don't remember many of them though. I have only dreamed of my dad twice though.
I can relate to this so well. I lost a parent during the summer and the dreams felt like they were there. Present in my reality. It was definitely like being hypnotized

@mindlessdrifter yes it is. But I am greatfull that I can feel that they are real even for a little while.
@melissa001 My sentiments exactly

I have very vivid dreams but not to that extent.

They used to be populated by nebulous people I could not identify, mere mental palimpsests, but now commonly include friends or former work colleagues or more rarely and only quite recently, relatives.

They sometimes reflect real places such as work but in very surreal ways, or even invent totally fictitious locations, in great detail!

I've had a wide variety of lucid dreams. The one most recent I dreamt up a literal two season british sci-fi comedy that felt so real that when I got out of bed, I had to look it up to see if it was real.

Thanks for sharing. It’s a wonderful thing. I’ve just had dreams inside dreams.
eMortal · M
@teachmetiger210503 it’s quite unsettling when that happens.
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
@eMortal you mean it's hard to come out of the dream state of mind.Maybe it's because of the depth of the dream
. I have had dreams that has come to pass.
eMortal · M
@teachmetiger210503 Unsettling because when you come back from the 2nd dream you can’t tell whether or not you’re in the initial dream!

Yes!! I’m still trying to get over one I had last week.
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@melissa001 it sure shakes you up, I’m hoping to dream about my brother as the anniversary of his death is next week and I miss him so much
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Jeephikelove I hope you do too. I'm sorry to hear that.

I have lucid dreams. Some are so vivid they almost seem real. It’s sometimes a good thing. Other times it can be really scary.
teachmetiger210503 · 36-40, M
I think dreams are the product of your mind.It shows the beauty and fears of your mind.
