No way. They're awesome. I took care of one for a while. Just showed up one day. Thought it was dying. Had lost most of it's hair. Started feeding it and that was that. The possum and the feral cat I fed would eat side by side. Crazy.
One day she was just sort of lying there, I went over and there were like a dozen baby possums poking their heads out. Blew my mind. Eventually she just stopped showing up.
They're very cool animals and not vicious. Probably wouldn't go pet a wild one but not much to worry about.
