Does this sound fishy or legit to you?

I filled out an application at a company and turned it in. I get a random phone call from one of the security guards that work there saying he found my application on the ground in the parking lot of the company and said he will turn it in for me.....

Do companies still accept paper applications?
Laralemonsqueeze · 36-40, F
@lauranne some do not all though.

I wouldn't want to work for a company that is so careless with personal data.

That sounds fishy to me. When I filled out applications it was always inside the building and handed to a person or the manager. How did your application get into the parking lot? Did the security guy see you come in in person or on camera and looked up your application to flirt with you with some sort of Lie? That would be my question.
Why didn't they just turn it in, period? Why did they need to tell you they were doing it unless they were asking whether or not you wanted it thrown away? I'd be on alert about whether they try calling you back later.

Definitely sounds odd…

I don't think there's anything fishy present.
Call the company tomorrow & ask if it has been handed to them.

NEVER meet someone you don't know.

It it was not handed in ask if you can email them another

I don't get it. They said they would turn it in. They didn't use it to try to meet you. What is the fishy part?
Laralemonsqueeze · 36-40, F
@Gibbon I just thought how could the company misplace something with all your personal information. It's very strange😐
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@Laralemonsqueeze Yes I agree. If you turned it in, who picked it up and dropped it in the parking lot of all places. I would call that a red flag for accepting a job there.

sounds very fishy and unsecure 😒
