Would you say something?

My dad's roommate is very quiet and kind. My dad is in hospice and is nearly unconscious. He can't advocate anymore for himself. It's agonizing hearing him wheezing all day. He has aggressive cancer on top of it.
His roommate tv is on all day on loud Westerns. I asked my dad if it's too loud , he said no earlier. But he's been saying random things because of his brain fog so I don't know if he really meant no.
Not sure to ask him to lower it just a notch or two? Or let it go? My dad is sleeping now but wheezy sounds. I don't want to impose but it's on all day and I think it's better if it's a bit quieter.

Ask very kindly and politely if he’d please turn the volume down or see if he could get headphones for the tv

It wouldn’t hurt. A lot of the hospital bed tv remotes have a headphone jack, too.

Ask him to lower the volume or get earphones
He might be a bit deaf too!
