when your lay in bed at night, how to not worry so much

i like my bed and enjoy going to bed, i put my electric blanket on at this time of year.....but commonly at night when i'm lay in the darkness, my mind wanders and i tend to think deeply about things and worry?

worry about my physical health, i have a few health issues and just worry about my elderly mother and things going on in the external world? things which i have no control over.

i worry about my loneliness predicament, living alone.


can anyone understand or know what to say?

I understand worry and i understand anxiety.
I think u got anxiety more than worry.
Dreading whats gonna happen and how to fix something you are entitled to fix, but dont know how. Not everything you go through is easy, health problems especially my friend.
The best thing i can offer you is peace that passes ALL understanding 😌.
The only way to tgat peace is Jesus.
If u worry and fret, fear and get anxious, you have no peace!
Try getting a bible and read it, old book testament called proverbs in the daytime, and read old testament book psalm in the night. Proverbs gives wisdom and instruction to lifes worry, and psalms gives hope and a future to your anxiety.
Theres 31 proverbs so if u read one a day for a month, each day will be less stressful i promise! Its my advice, take it or leave it.

I think its normal when one is stressed to catastrophize things. If you cant turn it off or slow down thoughts, you may need to talk to someone.

Decide to put worry to rest for the night until it becomes automatic.
