I try to just plant the seed, that way, I'm not alienating them, or making them feel bad and they know that I am someone who cares and is there to help and be supportive.

@Mellowgirl you can just start by asking if they are okay in their relationship and comment how you've noticed some things that on the outside look like there might be some unfair behavior. They will probably brush it off saying it is nothing or that nothing is wrong. That's fine. Just respond that if theu ever need someone to talk to, you're always available.
