How would u help someone with Delusional Disorder ( D. D.)

I tried to help, but sans success. He is taking meds and claims he is not sick in the head, yet when u hear him speak, he clearly is mentally disordered.☹

Don't believe you can. They have to help themselves by first acknowledging they are delusional.

That’s what I tried to do. He claims he is not sick and doesn’t know why they put him on antipsychotics…sad story!@Magenta

@Wiseacre Doesn't sound like a good situation. Thank you for BA.

There’s nothing you can really do until they can actually acknowledge the issue.
Taking meds is only a little way along the path to recognition and wanting to do something about it.
I think I would leave it up to his doctors.😔

It’s impossible to tell them because they just don't get it imo
I present solid irrefutable unimpeachable sources, if they wish to ignore them, oh well.

I did that and didn’t get anywhere. He claims he witnessed a crime, and police did nothing. His two psychiatrists think he is delusional. There are other things he told me that don’t sound believable. He is afraid to go back home for fear he’ll be killed.@NativePortlander1970
@Wiseacre Sounds like my oldest brother
