If you don’t have a need to compete but others find reasons to compete with you…

Why is this? What experiences have you had with this? What have you learned? Thanks in advance.

I find many women are intensely competitive with other women. Looking back I was like this too for many years.

Insecurity is my personal take on it. If they had more self esteem they wouldn't need to.

@KatyO83 how do you currently feel?

My self worth doesn't come from being better than everyone else, but from constantly doing my best and trying to improve as a person every day.

I feel very competitive with other women. I compete with them. It's one of my biggest flaws 😐
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@helenS it seems to me you challenge me a lot.
helenS · 36-40, F
@samueltyler2 Maybe, but that's not competition! Men are from another planet; I wouldn't compete with a Marsian either.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@helenS because I am so submissive to you? Lol.

Some people are just competitive. I am not. Only in fun on occasion. But some people take being #1 very seriously and I've definitely been screwed over and had credit taken.
I feel no need to compete with anyone. I feel that is indeed a flaw perhaps of ego and maybe even self esteem. I really hate it when someone tries to compete with me. 😠 That’s just nonsense imo.

Pride maybe egotistical people

Tho i’m probably the others in this situation

@MentalDisturbance vanity selfishness i suppose wanting to be more than others

Im not always like that but i notice it at times mind you
@YoMomma thanks for the insight. I’m curious about the wanting to be more than others but I already picked at ya enough… unless you feel inclined to answer…My guess would be to feel a sense of significance that you find in them and you want something like that, or to feel superior even. I can relate if this is what you’re talking about.

@MentalDisturbance idk it’s not something i actively do but i’ve noticed on occasion over the years

People compete with me I don’t compete with anyone I don’t know why they compete with me

@CrazyMusicLover not sure. What’s overly motivated?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@MentalDisturbance One that always shows the effort to look like the most competent in the room even if she obviously aren't, always tries to be included in everything but instead of the team work tries to meddle into everything and manage everyone.
@CrazyMusicLover That’s exhausting af. But ya know nothing is done without a usage. In other words, no one does what they do for no reason. It’s just that the reasons are unapparent to the rest of us, even to the ones doing it. I’ve been very guilty of my own ignorances. But it’s what fuels one’s quest to find out more about themselves…
