@Zaphod42 I mean, Project 2025 is the end result of a document that has been around since those days, but we could have easily stopped it from coming to fruition if we'd seen it coming 24 years ago.

@LordShadowfire I was referring to the beginning of all of what’s happening now…1987 when the Fairness (in broadcasting) Doctrine began to be attacked and dismantled, although it wasn’t successfully killed off until 2011 when the FCC finally decided that not allowing news broadcasts to lie to the viewers was a violation of the first amendment.
