If it was a man, right or wrong, I’d think he was weak. I’d suggest dumping him.
If it was a woman, I’d be less offended. I’d just assume she’s falling in love and doesn’t want to get hurt (again). I’d definitely be more empathetic assuming there were no other apparent red flags.

I would think it would be very bizarre as they are much more capable of trust and secure than I am. I would start observing them for any other radical personality changes and worry something else is going on.

My girlfriend would never utter the word "cheating" because she was actively doing it. It was better to leave the subject hidden. She knew I wouldn't cheat, anyway.
