Not especially. So long as what you are wearing is suitable for the task at hand. I like to look good though. However what I regard as good might not be so regarded by everyone, I like to wear short skirts and to go bare foot and while the first seems to be broadly acceptable now I get a bit of flack for the latter.

Personally, no. But as you seem to set store by what other people think of you, perhaps you will only feel confortable when you do look good to them.

Yes, you should care, it's called self-respect. That's kind of the problem where I live, everyone is so damned casual they have all lost their manners.
