If you’re in a bad car accident?

If you lost a limb would you want to die or would you want to live without and say your right hand but you cannot afford a fake hand???
I would want to die

A school mates father lost both legs in the war...he only had a wheelchair but he married, had a wonderful family and to all appearances enjoyed life fully
There are so many organizations that give full or partial aid to amputees the cost really doesn't enter into the picture

Why would you give up so easily? You can live a perfectly full life with one hand lol
AsianEyezChulaRp · 31-35, F
@SwampFlower true but I’ll probably give up if it takes to long
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
@AsianEyezChulaRp nah. You think that but you would eventually get used to new ways of doing things.
AsianEyezChulaRp · 31-35, F
@SwampFlower amen you right never give up

I'd learn to use my left hand, I'm sure it'd be traumatic but ultimately I would get on with life after a while.
AsianEyezChulaRp · 31-35, F
@Psycho it be ten times hard
Psycho · 26-30, M
@AsianEyezChulaRp You'd get used to things people adapt when that's the only choice.

@Psycho good point

I have had brachial plexus injury and was paralyzed in one arm for at least 5 months 🤔 I can cope with that I am sure.
AsianEyezChulaRp · 31-35, F
@Miram that’s amazing you can go though it you a fighter

I’m not sure, but I prefer to not think about that type of disaster until it comes. May many people choose life and excel beyond peoples imagination.

If I were in a car accident, I would most likely want to live, regardless of whether I lose any limbs or not.

I see six probable outcomes regarding how I would most likely come out of a car accident alive.

1) I emerge unscathed.
2) I emerge a paraplegic.
3) I emerge a quadriplegic.
4) I emerge a losing an arm.
5) I emerge losing a leg.
6) I emerge losing both legs.
I would be happy to be alive and make the best of it, I think there are some amazing and incredibly courageous people who have accomplished and or achieved great success despite such issues and I would try to find my inner strength from those.
Get a real can its cheeper

I hope that never happens
A colleague of mine was in an accident where she lost a leg (at age 25). She was very depressed for awhile, but with counseling and loved ones rallying around her, she actually came back even better—she became more active than she’d been with two legs, participated in athletic events for the disabled. When she received her prothestic leg, she trained and ran a marathon—something she’d never even considered doing before. I don’t know if I personally could recover on that level, but obviously it can be done.
