Do you think your life would be happier if you moved away like a different area/zone

I mean from family parents siblings & anyone you dont like. It would be lonely to start but is it really possible that it
Could be successful. Or is it just hiding from problems??

Absolutely. I did it before and it was everything I expected- I felt free, was independent, happy, and my life was amazing away from my toxic family.

Well I often wish I could live in the town home I grew up in.

The neighborhood is only about 6 miles from where I live.

But as far as city, I am okay with where I am.
[@1073121,Leggs] Thats good 👍

Well I thought if I could have a fresh start maybe I could be happy. I am realizing now that was just foolish of me. Now I am about to have no home and no idea what I am going to do with myself. I can't escape myself 😞
[@326696,TheCaterpillar] I know Im feeling bad for you right now. Is there anyone you could stay with till you sort things out?
TheFragile · 41-45, F
[@553217,Cutiepi23] no but it's okay I'll figure it out. I am resilient.
[@326696,TheCaterpillar] ok stay safe 🥰

I had that same thought, about 15 years ago.

At the time, I toyed with faking my own death, moving to a different country and assuming a new Identity.

After that, I thought better of it.
[@1044003,Sidewinder] as long as your ok now thats good.
Sidewinder · 31-35, M
[@553217,Cutiepi23] Yeah, I'm okay, now.

I was a teenager, at the time I toyed with such ideas.

You know how teenage angst can be, right?
[@1044003,Sidewinder] sure do!😉

I moved, it was good at first, met new people... eventually I felt the need to move back... don’t live in my home town but I’m 30 minutes away now
[@1073121,Leggs] True 👍

In my case it would be to get away from my toxic family. But they would phone & bug me or bug me on FB.
Leggs · 46-50, F
[@553217,Cutiepi23] persistent aren't they?

Reminds me of one of my old friend's in-laws.
[@1073121,Leggs] annoying sad people. X
I am happy right here. I was born a Tar Heel and I will die a Tar Heel.
[@449169,QuarantineCrushDaddy] Tar heel?
[@553217,Cutiepi23] i googled it 😉

I've thought about it. I'd love to live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbors close at all. There would need to be a lake nearby, though
[@570785,NotJamieM] sounds nice & peaceful 😊
NotJamieM · 46-50, M
[@553217,Cutiepi23] it's always more peaceful (and private, lol) with no other people around. 😊

I moved far away and cut communication and only then becane happier. Toxic people always put me down and tried to control me
[@537009,MrsFugger1] Good for you. You must be a strong person. Im glad your happier now. 🤗

Speaking in general, nature made us as Nomadic creatures to be moving about, not to be bound or stuck in a state. So we can design our society in a such a way where we keep moving and meeting newer people, and develop a liking for everyone.

That way each is independent and not having to rely on someone or something for too long.
