What are your experiences of being the odd one?

I have accepted that I will never click with 99% of the world's population. However, if I can find someone in that 1%, it's usually worth the wait!

I’m just a square peg that gave up on finding friends in a round peg world long ago.

I feel it every day at work.
Too shy and socially awkward.

Most of my life it seems like I don’t fit in with the crowd , I don’t drink very often and I don’t smoke , around here growing up that was what most did. I’m not really complaining I’ve learned to be me and friends came. A few good friends is way better than the whole crowd of fake ones.

I like raisins!

Being bullied in almost every aspect of and part of my life. Having few friends. My family doesn’t care about my suffering only about being right. Noone believes me when I tell them the truth (which is 90% of the time). Most girls and women (who don’t even know me by the the way) look at me in the same way a bird looks at a cat. A boy in middle school called me gay for not wanting to get rejected and being happily single. A girl called me gay for wanting to travel the country with my best friend. A boy in high school called me gay for having school spirit and supporting the football team. That was the last time went to a school game,

You have to learn to own it, and then make everyone else question their conformity. Not in a confrontational way, that immediately alienates people. Just in a calm confident way.

people think I am odd for not being afraid of spiders. I just don't fear anything from them and would probably quite happily keep one as a pet

I strive for it. If I feel I’m conforming too much I’ll make a scene to make everyone feel uncomfortable
