The feeling when you're an adult living on their own

And it might be something like a flu or a cold, but you feel weak, cold and a bit vulnerable and you know it's only you you can rely on.

I think the hardest thing about being a single adult is wanting to feel safe or to have someone to hold or comfort you knowing that there's only you. Maybe it's sort of trauma related with me but I feel like this is s universal feeling.

I've always had to be strong for myself but sometimes I wish someone could comfort and support me. Sometimes I just want a hug but it's rare.

With me I just get pushups 😆 but I can't self improve out of being a human being.

Yes. I often feel very lonely and feel like no one is really there for ME. To ask me if I'm ok. To give me an embrace. I can't remember when someone hugged me last. At least I do feel occasionally a connection here online, but I do wish I could find comfort with someone irl as well..
And the older you get, the harder and scarier it is. I consider myself a fairly strong person but thinking too much about the subject can really break me.

@OlderSometimesWiser I thought about that too, how with age it gets more scary 😕 I think modern individualist based societies are terrible in that regard, there's no community
@Mordechai Absolutely, and mostly signs of that getting worse, not better.
