When I was much younger and lacked confidence, I allowed it. Once I got my feet under me and found my voice in my 20’s, that was the end of that.

Only to a point. I do not disrespect others, and I won't let others disrespect me. If things cannot be respectful and civil then I consider the person(s) dead to me.
