How long after a Pop Tart pops up in the toaster before you take it out?

It's been years since last I had a pop tart. Don't know why I thought I'd try one tonight. Last time I was going to have one for breakfast. Put in in the toaster and went to shower. That way it would be warm enough to scarf. The thing broke open and cause a 3rd degree burn on my palm. Right across the life line. My brothers thought it was hilarious. 😅
