I have. But this is not a “normal” place where you can drop in on a friend on your way home from work.
It Is normal in the sense that things can blow up in your face without warning.
With realistic expectations, friendships can thrive and last. Those friendships are not imaginary, but they’re not real life, either. It’s like an additional
life, with somewhat different customs. DMs usually strengthen the connection.
If you can remember that online life usually carries less weight than real life, and that being here is not necessary to survival, it helps. If someone has to follow an ambulance for a real life loved one, that trumps being quickly responsive here. Being here does not fix real problems.

A couple - one of whom has now been on a long hiatus (we split on bad terms - all my friggin' fault, too)
BillyMack · 46-50, M
Yes. But it can’t be forced. And it can’t be sexually charged. It has to be about the person.
CurrentName · 51-55, MNew

HumanEarth · F
Yes many, I would tell you the name, but they would get attack by this government for knowing me

A couple good ones here and there. Not many that were strong or lasting though, sadly.
HikingMan · 51-55, M
Moreso on EP, but I have a couple of people that I feel somewhat bonded to.
I’m never really sure how most people feel and I don’t really ask.
