I'm not hardcore wanting anything but it would be nice to travel to a few countries.
popmol · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover lovely! but there exist like group trips, maybe one of those goes to those levadas! which are super cool!

i went to portugal once with my school and well there was a castle in the capital where only the small remains of the lower wall remained it was like a blueprint! very cool! it was super hot that day but on top of that hill in the castle with trees giving shadows ! it was awesome :)
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@popmol I was looking into it 2 years ago and there was even a good price but it wasn't possible to go just as one person. Some other travel agencies offered an option to pay extra for a single room though. I'm not sure how other people do that. I heard that some actually join the group "blindly" in hope someone else will go single and they'd share a room but I can't imagine how could that work and I don't think I'd trust a complete stranger. 😅

That sounds like a great trip! I'd love to visit.
popmol · 26-30, M
@CrazyMusicLover my cousin does a bunch of them, now he often goes with people he made friends with on those trips but he also went on a bunch that were he was alone so its definitely done! at least with that
agency.
Why not? its so fun to trust strangers! 😂

also there was another castle we went to after taking a tram trip their and it was lovely a whole track of small paths up hills and mountains through small paths made on the hills to the bigger castle! was lovely too!

I think really the only thing that stands out to me is to be around until all my kids are all fully grown and no longer living at home.

Anything else that happens is just a bonus
popmol · 26-30, M
@Jenny1234 don't know her but i assume she has good music if you want to see her! i hope it works out!

which other instruments do you play?

WHAT? thats so cool! i want to do that too! theres several animals i want to touch or play with! a platypus, a sloth, a pangolin and a bearded dragon, and some kind of beautiful snake!

courses for what? like in the direction of study or like language? maybe art?
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F

Visit France. Mostly to meet a few friends real life.
popmol · 26-30, M
@HoeBag sad ;( i hope it was only me so i could fix it somehow ;(

yeah some characters have me blocked although they talk on my posts which is weird. i think its because they banned "people at a certain age" i think.

haha i only block if i'm really sick of someone or ask them for them to stop and they don't stop. i mean sometimes perverts talk to me here and i talk back but when i'm done i just say, i'm done, sorry please stop talking to me about this. and most often it works.

ooh yeah its sad when they leave though ;(

ooh yeah some people who seem more important and some who don't, i was kinda in the IT group when we were on EP, sincei joined so young i was everyones little brother!

she was lovely :)

Dutch is the primary language in the flemish part of belgium.
in the wallon side(the south) their primary is french or wallon.

but on both sides the 2 primary languages are dutch and french and techincally our third language is german, a part of our country we gained from germany after WW1

but i don't take well to french but english came super easy.

so yeah my native language is dutch, my secondary language is english, and in the future i'll try french to be able to talk to family.

well i also wanted to say in school they teach your french from 5 and 6th year right before highschool. in highschool we get french and english or french and german and some even better schools french german and english.
HoeBag · 51-55, F
@popmolEven though I know nothing about Dutch, I can kind of see how English would be easier to learn than French for a Dutch speaker. English, German, and Dutch kind of bear closer resemblances to each other than to French. Just based on my very limited exposure to Dutch and German.
French has some grammar concepts that are, "different".

I did learn though that the first part of my username means "How" in Dutch. Just playing around with google translate. In English though, it is something a little more impolite. 😄

Now about people of a certain age getting blocked by default, I wouldn't think a 26 to 30 would be. Typically it is the under 18 crowd or people over maybe 60 or 70. But who knows, people block for anything or nothing. I block only if it is a constant pest or if they are over the top MAGA fans.

With learning languages though, I just study French for now, I mostly study and listen to youtbe videos for that. I am not fluent yet. I am at the stage where I "Kind of understand the point" (on a good day) but not every word.
popmol · 26-30, M
@HoeBag well you see, english is technically the easiest to get for a belgian.
since our primary languages are dutch and french they are really good at figuring out english.

since english is a combination of french and a germanic language and also a celtic language.
and the dutch from flanders since were part of so many countries but one of our last was the french and our fancy words came form the french the same as english did.

so things like chair we know due to chaise from french, but stool we know from the dutch stoel.
so the way fancy words are written is easier for me at least, loads of belgians are better at french than english i have noticed!

haha i know hoe, it indeed means how in dutch. sadly bag has no meaning here. a hoe is the farming tool or well yes the impolite term, although it seems less impolite than other similar insults 😋

a fun word for us is "die" which means "that" or "that one" so a child can say die die die! which means somethign else to you guys :)

theres many profiles i can't watch but they comment on post from all kinds of ages so yeah i don't know really.
i would also not think its my age.
maybe theres a way of doing a "light ban" where you can still see them in the wild but not on your page?

thats already a good place to be! like the thing you send to me i kinda understood parts of it since i knew some of the words.
but i had terrible french teachers! but my plan is to get french lessons once i have a job to learn the language!

Write a book and see it published
popmol · 26-30, M
@Justmeraeagain ooh awesome! what kind of book?
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@popmol it's actually a child's book about a monster who was afraid of the light and I am going to try to self-publish it when I receive my tax refund .
I checked out the company, of course, and it's got a good rating listed with the Better Business Bureau,
You can make it available as an ebook on Kindle and Barnes & Noble .
I started writing one about the dust bowl during the American Depression in the 30s , a young reader fiction book ,but it's taking me a long time to write that.
popmol · 26-30, M
@Justmeraeagain ooh cool! sounds awesome :)

i heard theres good companies who help with self publishing! or smaller creators!

i'm also planning to write one, its about a zealot priest going to the new continent spreading the faith of the 17 heroes and finding the continent is at peace with the eternal queen.
the book would be his diary and findings and reports of the trip there.
