Finish constructing the rebus (Thursday) crossword puzzle I want to submit to - and have accepted by - the New York Times.

@rinkydinkydoink wait is that only this week or is it also an option for the future?
@popmol

Future. It's hard enough solving a NYT crossword let alone making one. What I really need is a co-writer or, at least, a mentor because the idea of this particular crossword - if I do say so myself - is pretty damn good. When completed it'll look like a quincunx die.

@rinkydinkydoink this does not feel like the crossword puzzle i know :p
@popmol

Each of the 4 corners - and the center - of the crossword employs a "pip" like that of a die. Each "pip" represents a word. This puzzle will end up with TEN commonly worded phrases. One such phrase situated in the middle running across 7 spaces is see spot run. Running through that, down, is the span (15 spaces) African spotted cats.
