@Coralmist You are welcome. No one's dream home is secure in our shared nightmare.

@SomeMichGuy no problem 🌼

A home by the sea (have a post on it). I'd love a house in the small to medium range modeled after a castle. In this case, size does not matter, it is more the ambiance and atmosphere. I want to be near the water, hear the surf and/or the critters surrounding it. This way, when I write, I am inspired. The home would have modern amenities, but I'd opt for candlelight on certain nights.
Who would share it with me? If she exists, my love, who embraces my writing as much as she does me, and we can grow old listening to the thunderstorms over the sea.

@NocturnalTide My dream has always been to live on the beach or right near it. A castle style home would be so pretty. Thanks for your reply 🌊

Dreams, eh? Fascinating things. We have them for ourselves. We are them for others.
My personal dream life would be not unlike my real life, but "dreamier"! A slightly larger riverside city apartment, a slightly roomier country cottage 20 minutes drive from the coast, a few more of my old friends still in touch, still alive. A few more opportunities to travel.
And for everyone else? Well, I would like to feel that everyone found some happiness, some sense of fulfillment in their lives.

I like my house and location. Most of the things I would change would be about other people. A couple of really good, deserving people I know I would help and take a load off, top education full ride for the grandkids. The one thing for myself would be I would never fly commercial again. Charter a jet whenever I wanted to go anywhere. 😷

@whowasthatmaskedman I esp agree with the travel aspect.

I guess my dream life would be one where I wasn't struggling financially, where I was comfortable and safe and with someone I love who loves me back.

@SlippingAway And your front and sides as well?

A hobbit home, somewhere with a good view, a whole room of books, two very comfy chairs. An awesome chess set, and Othello set. With a comfy bench on the front porch area with a secondary fire place out there so we could enjoy the view no matter the season.

A cute brick or stone one floor home that I wouldn’t struggle to pay for and my kids and I healthy and happy 🤍

Definitely a small cottage on the water with the love of my life.
She's sleeping next to me as I quietly watch her breathing and beyond her I hear the waves lapping at the shore and see the sky just starting to brighten in the east. It's going to be another beautiful day in paradise. 🫂

You know - Ive never dreamed of fancy. Id like to always have enough, and a little extra for fun. Have had that most of my adult years.
HOWEVER, what Ive always wanted is a partner. Ive never really had that.

I would definitely take that cottage option. The castle's gotten too empty.

A little more money(so I can retire), and a shore house.

A chill place high up in a tower in a megacity. Enough money to just focus on music and easy access to trains to the beach and wherever else.

Probably a mansion that looks like it’s from 1900s, secret rooms, secret staircase that is attached to the library. It would have a theatre too
