@samueltyler2 Education cures ignorance , you could use some. The second amendment is not about hunting rights it's about restricting the government from passing any laws or regulations from keeping the citizens from owning and possessing firearms.
That's a ridiculous and useless point of not having modern types of weapons beck then.
That's why it is worded the way it is .
A well regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state. ( Militia being a group of armed citizens) Necessary.for the security of a free state( weapons capable of defending against a standing army of the day) The right of the people to ( the people have that right , not the militia) to keep and bear arms.( The people have that right to KEEP and BEAR ARMS clearly stated , not the militia) Shall not be infringed ( the government has no right to limit or control those weapons.
Does that clarify the situation for you. It could not be any clearer in its meaning of who has the rights. And what the citizens have the right to posses. ( Weapons capable of securing a free state) This modern weapons with high capacity mags. You just schooled.

Not sure high capacity magzines is covered by the right to bare arms. The words used might also indicate show off your tattooed arms. Or bare arms meaning you have the right to not have tatoos.

@jehova GTFOH !
jehova · 31-35, M
@goodlil666 i know right. But from a third persons point of view (outsiders perspective) it doesnt include any indication of guns firearms or even weapons
'right to bear arms'. Is very open ended perhaps we should try to verify the meaning in a new amendment that clearly defines its meaning. Also maybe i should have the arms of a bear mounted on my wall. By law!

@exchrist No not a chance , The 2nd was intended for the whole nation and should remain that way
exchrist · 31-35
@goodlil666 was intended for the entire nation when the entire nation was 13 colonies all on the coast. To defend against England/europe. Thats not the conditions now. . . Modernize or age out.

@goodlil666 also gun laws are noticably different in New York compared to Florida or Massachusetts compared to Virginia. Therefore is it really a national standard?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@goodlil666 so you are in favor of a 5 year old owning a gun?
