I wouldn't call it harassing, lol. Most of them seem pretty decent about it, but it does make me uncomfortable and makes me feel like a quackhole if it's for like a charity or whatever.
@Ducky they play on the guilt trip thing
Ducky · 31-35, F
@metaldog I haven't seen that. For me, it's always just "Would you like buy/donate to so-and-so? Okay, have a good day!" But I'm sure the guilt-trip stuff does happen. 😣

@Ducky I remember I was on my way to do food shopping and trying to buy groceries once,
And I was spending my last penny on groceries to make it through the week,
And some charity worker was trying to guilt trip me 😔

And it's like dood, I myself am trying to avoid poverty 😔

@Fishy That’s really sad. 😞 They should let up on that and understand someone is probably worse off themselves. 🫂

@Ducky yeah, this happened a while ago lol,
I'm okay now tho.

But another time, not long after that, the same guy was there and I deliberately avoided eye contact even though he was basically waving at me,

I ignored him because I knew he didn't take no for an answer very well,

And he got snippy, threw his arms up in the air and everything 😂

@Fishy Those people have the wrong frickin’ job. How you gonna convince people to donate to your cause when you’re out acting like a jackass?
