It sucks having no one to rely on

That’s all

If we are being honest. When it comes down to it YOU are the only one that you can rely on. Sure it's nice to have people but I've learned that it makes me stronger relying on myself. I don't borrow from anyone, ask any favors etc...i save money so I don't have to. And if I can't take care of something myself I hire a professional who can. I'm married and if I ask my husband to take care of something I will ask 3 times when he's off and if he keeps putting it off I hire someone. As an example my truck brakes were squeaking, I asked him several times can you take care of it he said it's just the brake pads I will change them , a month later, still nothing! I woke up early one Saturday and went straight to Brake Check and got it taken care of myself

Yes. And when someone listens a bit i flood them with too much. Im still working on that balance.
Yet when men provide reliability, many women will perceive it as his being a control freak or a narcissist.
That is why you love yourself first and foremost. You depend upon you. Got it?

@PoetryNEmotion very true, but there are some things you can’t do alone. And what’s the point of life if you have to just be alone in everything? You know what I mean?
Understandable. Sorry it played out that way

Whats on your mind?

There's a very good lesson in what you say, meaning that you should never put yourself in a position of having to rely on ANYONE except yourself for the desired outcome.

True, we are all social creatures but that does not mean that we NEED each other, but rather that we DESIRE each other. Therein lies the difference.
