I was looking at a used car for my daughter years ago the dealership had a nice looking little car priced reasonable it ran rough and the salesman said if you take it for a drive the check engine light comes on we dont know why?

Mine was on most of last year, but I had to get the problem fixed so the truck would pass inspection.

8 years. I disconnected the front upstream oxygen sensor and it has been running like new ever since.

A quick and permanent fix.

My 'check engine' light has been on for exactly the same length of time as my red 'check oil' light. What's comforting to me is that at least I know why my yellow 'check engine' light is on, otherwise I'd lie awake at night wondering what that yellow light meant?

I stuck a Band-Aid over it, problem solved.

Put this over it back in the days of black and white 🤬

Don't know, I have electrical tape covering it. 🫣
