Guy, I have ridden public buses on and off since I was a child and never had a problem.
Even coast to coast on a Greyhound a few times.
It's because of that my parents allowed me to travel to Germany, ON my own, AS a teenager, IN a car, plane, train and taxi, NOT speaking German very well.
Visiting relatives that I had never met, NOR even seen pictures before. NOR have they seen pictures of me before either.
My aunt didn't believe, that I was her nephew, when I first got to her place, AT dusk.
I've done it all, ever since a child, including helicopter rides.
And you can't do a bus ride as an adult? 🤷🏻♂

@MarkPaul Avoidance of people is the exact opposite of confrontation from people.
Avoiding people is not a people person! A people person wants to engage with others. The more the better.

@DeWayfarer I engage with people all the time. It's just that in some isolated incidents, I... don't react the best way all the time, I guess you could say. Back when I used to have some social anxiety issues, I wasn't able to react at all. What are you missing?

@MarkPaul Your avoidance of busses is a direct avoidance of people!
A people person would take that bus ride and be talking with EVERYONE on that bus!
I fully admit that I couldn't do that myself. Yet I don't claim to be a people person in the slightest.

Man, you told me you are trying to improve.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@BlueVeins Yeah, but I am. Honestly, I am. I feel like I made a commitment to you and I am working on improving. That's why I didn't say I'm not taking the bus. That's why I'm hoping to get some advice. I mean, okay... I will take the bus. I don't really have another choice anyway. I just don't like it. It's just that I don't think this really is a social anxiety thing. I'm just not really a bus person, I guess you could say.
A little background would be useful. Even AI is confused and AI knows everything.
