Have you ever had a near death experience?

If so, what was it like?
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
Sometimes i wonder if i did die. And god said Heaven will be like whats on Earth and maybe my mind wasnt ready to die so it kept on going. Too many things changed that arent the same. And i remember when it happened. I hung myself in the bathroom. And when i did everything was so peaceful. There was no struggle. I was gone. And the next thing i knew there was a loud knocking at the back door. And i opened my eyes and i was able to swing my legs to the toilet. And i got down and opened the door and he said, I just wanted to let you know we will be redoing the windows. I said thank you. And i checked the clock almost midnight. And he never redid the windows. When i resaw my father he wasnt the same. My bf wasnt totally in Love with me like he used to. And i began carving my face open from truama and i also didnt know if i was real. I just dont know if any of this is real tbh. And it still happens today. I just dont know if im Alive. And sometimes I think about doing it again. Also life feels differently. It doesn't feel the same like it used to. The way I breath. The way life used to feel. Colors faded. And everything seems like something is missing. And all of us here today are essentially died from our old life experiencing the same thing.

@ScarletWitch your time was not then. Despite how you may view yourself you are still a valuable person and still have something to contribute. You just have not realized your purpose yet. Keep moving forward in the end it does get better. I've had similar experiences including a misfired 45 hollow point that I now keep on my microwave to remember no matter how bad it seems it can always be worse

I hope that you find happiness and peace someday.

Yeah. One particular time my ex was choking me out and he wasn't stopping and I was seeing the aftermath in my head of me being dead right there. I couldn't breath for what felt like forever.

And then the time he interrogated me and had a semi truck pull up saying they were going to throw me nn there and take me down to Mexico. At 2am at a truck stop in a small farm town outside of KC. I was begging him to just kill me that time.

He was ab and biker associated. Evil guy. He told me a few times he should be on death row for all that he's done.

More than one. I almost drowned once. I had a couple of bad overdoses too

I was floating in a void. All around was darkness, but there was light overhead from an unseen source and I could see my arms clearly in the light. The darkness all around wasn’t actual darkness, but an absence of anything else for the light to shine on. Overall it was a sense of perfect peace, tranquility and contentment and a notable absence of any pain, physical or mental.

I was unhappy to wake up alive from it.

I have been near dead six times. It was like in experience I was in my body but not really in my body like I was watching a movie around me but with my own eyes well I experienced the sensation of holding on to this world by a string

Years ago I got caught in a rip tide in Ca and almost drowned. Had it not been for my friend who saved me I wouldn't be here today.

I almost drowned once

Was hit by car a few times in my life

I was beaten up and stabbed with knife 3 times

And yet nothing compares to my childhood.

But nothing was as bad as living though the abuse my alcoholic father put my mother and us kids though. I think that was my worse case of near death experience. I was dead inside from the age of 6 on up.

Yes, I did. I was swimming across a lake and it was warm der than I thought. I couldn't make it. I remember looking back where I started and my new car (just that day) was visible and thinking it sucked I only had one day with it.
Almost Drowned in a well.

Almost got hit by a bus twice.

Did a unintentional somersault along with my bike after hitting a rock.

There may be a few more I don't remember them all.

@Lilliesandlight i had a skiing accident in 2003 brain stroke woke up in hospital; about 2 years later i got shot to the chest. Hunter thought i was deer(wtf); i didnt go to hospital. ive been shot at least two other times once through the neck (got stuck up on a pizza delivery and i recall another to the head (i have no\very little recollection). Plus until about November i had a brain tumor for at least a decade. Finally got removed after alot of fighting with insurance and doctors. There are a couple of other ones but idk prolly laced weed.

After i had a heart attack death came to see me. I pretty much gave him the finger. Thats as close to death as my experience wants to be.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
Had a few experiences with head injuries, dont know if they were near death. Saw my life flash before me
About 4 times, it just like when you passed out. Nothing and bam! I’m awake.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
No.
But, my dad before he died said he was in a beautiful place with flowers.
More than one, with disappointing results.

@pripyatamusementpark what happened?
It was two months before my third birthday, I started choking when my epiglottis started swelling up, they blamed our new rental wasn't properly sanitized after the previous tennant died of some disease. I was rushed to the ER where I was trached. I remember having an out of body experience and seeing myself on the gurney while the doctors and nurses worked on me, as well as a very intense blue light on the wall. When I was 8 1/2 during xmas season 1978 we were shopping in DownTown Portland when I spotted a sign with that same intense blue light, I was holding my Dad's hand and felt me jerk to a stop. When he looked at me he asked why I stopped, so I pointed at the sign and said it was like looking into eternity, when I looked back at him his eyes were wide and his jaw dropped just staring at me. Later that night when I was supposed to be in bed I heard my Dad crying, so I snuck out to see why, he was telling my mother that after my tracheostomy was removed a month after it was put in, and could talk again, I told him about leaving my body and seeing that blue light against the wall and saying the same thing, it was about a month before my third birthday in 1973 when I told him the first time about the blue light.
